“The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God. ”
~Hebrews 7:18-19~
I can truly relate my friend. I find so much correlation with the Old Testament and new. When I read Old Testament scripture I am reminded a lot how the Israelites’ would rebel against God and how much I rebel myself in my walk as a disciple of Christ. In the midst of sin I realize what my purpose is as I read scripture and begin to draw closer to God. As it says in Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
It is a beautiful thing to draw closer to God; it is just up to us to stay in His Word consistently.
A lot of the ideas come from doodles that I jot down while taking notes; either during my personal Bible study or at church. After being a Christian for 8 years I got to a point where I had to take my notes to a different level. After that many sermons you begin to notice some repetition.

These are your church notebook drawings? What a great idea. I often make drawings during the service that illustrate the speaker’s main points.
